Introversion® Group Strength Training

 

Introversion means to “go within”.  Owner and creator, Dishan Elise, utilizes her dynamic, unique approach to personal training in a group setting.  Combining a special blend of meditation, coaching, motivation, and mind/body high intensity strengthening techniques, the class begins with a warm-up, breathing and body awareness followed by 30-45 minutes of a variety of slow lifting moves including, manual resistance exercises, calisthenics, partnered cardio & other training tools; covering a full body routine followed by a light centering stretch. Small group training is a great way to get personal training for a fraction of the normal cost. The group collaboration, motivation and energy in this class will be unlike any other class you've experienced. Limit 8 Students per class. Duration: 40-60 minutes depending on number of participants.

Then join us for a perfect combination of bootcamp moves all in one challenging hour. A customized session consisting of moderate to high-intensity cardio and body-weight exercises to target smaller and larger muscle groups for a full-body routine. Be ready to engage your entire core, legs, back, and arms. This is the class where you will build strength, endurance, and grit as you sculpt the best body of your life all year round! All fitness levels welcome!

Light Flow Yoga w/ May

Are you new to yoga? Or you want to ease your way back into your yoga practice? Maybe you're recovering from minor injuries and prefer a light yoga experience instead of a power session. If this describes you, then Light Flow Yoga is definitely for you.


Join Light Flow Yoga every Wed at 6:45pm and discover your light, restore your body and ease your soul. Connect breath to movement & soothing beats in this gentle Vinyasa class. Find your flow through sequences with an added emphasis on the basics and any special areas of focus. Tailor your flow with offered modifications and props. Support your practice using blocks, blankets, straps and the wall.

 

Welcome to all, especially those new or returning to yoga or recovering from injuries. Take it easy and prepare to unravel your light!

Run Club GREENPOINT is designed to create a social atmosphere that brings people together, both seasoned and newer runners. More than just a class, this club aims to make an environment that is encouraging and supportive. Participants will learn and build upon stretching techniques that are often skipped yet so crucial to avoid injury.

 

Followed with a run through  Greenpoint Brooklyn, join Nomie Byndon every Friday at 5pm to be apart of this liberating experience.

Tai Chi "Breath, Movement & Core"

 

Designed for all fitness levels, this class helps ease stress by coordinating deep, easy breathing with slow, rhythmic movements. Tai Chi Ch’uan is an internal form of a Chinese martial art. It has great health benefits, even without the martial aspects. Practicing Tai Chi Ch’uan helps connect the mind to the body and the body to the breath. As the mind relaxes, the body relaxes and one flows from one posture to the next. The biggest benefit is how you can integrate your practice into your everyday life.

The Tai Chi Ch’uan practiced is Grandmaster William C.C. Chen’s “60 Movements”, a Yang style short form.

Do-You Flow w/ DM

 

A certified Core-Strength Vinyasa teacher, DM invites Yogis of all levels to deepen their knowledge and practice. Follow a deconstructed, workshop-style class focusing on building poses from a strong foundation. DM will offer alignment cues and adjustments, as well as necessary alternatives, allowing each student to develop a personalized, customized and safe practice.

Owner, Dy Elise’ signature Introversion Group Strength Training® classes create a bridge between the two focuses of our work, offering a turn inward followed by an all-level appropriate strength training. Each class offered, from yoga to Tibetan Soundbath, from Tai Chi to Zumba, is designed to create a mind and body harmony and build meditative strength.

All of this is combined with a retail space that collaborates with local and global vendors and artisans who share in our vision and commitment of empowering the community.
