This week has been one of more inspiration and reflection than usual. I had a really amazing group of powerful ladies in my class last Friday that I motivated and inspired to want to give their very best. Then this weekend I went to visit my little sister and we co-created a list of goals for her and I even took her to complete her first goal of joining a gym!
As I reflected, I was reminded how inspired and empowered I became after inspiring others!
The word inspire is to fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel. When we inspire others we begin to live an even more inspired life ourselves! And it’s natural to be attracted to other inspired people; people passionate about life, creative, honest and fully present.
So how do we inspire others?
Well let’s look at 3 simple tips that can help put some fire in your inspire!
1. Listen actively
Being a good listener can help others feel more appreciated; it shows support, builds rapport, and ultimately can get others to be more productive.
2. Display Courage
People who inspire others to be better are bold and have the fortitude and courage to push through their fears. They may have faced obstacles and challenges, but they’ve turned "their mess into a message" in order to help others. If you want to make a difference in the world, you have to address your own demons first.
3. Be Emotionally Healed
People who inspire and uplift others have done the work to heal their own wounds. It doesn’t necessarily they’re pain-free, but they’re not inflicting or projecting their pain onto others.
There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired on how you deal with your imperfections.
